- Preparation of accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, with accuracy, completeness, and in conformance to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, and continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the close process.
- Maintain, update and post transactions and records in proper general ledger accounts.
- Analyze data for the evaluation of financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- Review financial information to gain an understanding of factors which have produced results and communicate effectively with end users of financial reports.
- Design and prepare ad-hoc analyses.
Essential Skills
· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles used to prepare financial reports.
· Ability to create, manipulate and interpret spreadsheets.
· Ability to understand and extract information from core processing systems.
· Desire to engage with multiple Accounting software and tools.
· Ability to complete tasks and follow through to completion.
· Ability to communicate with internal and external users of financial information.
· Ability to always maintain confidentiality.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
· Ability to deal with routine problems involving multiple facets and variables.
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least 3 years of accounting experience.
· Previous banking experience is highly preferred.
· Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, speak clearly to customers and employees.
· Must follow company policies, all state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
