Technical Product Implementation Manager

Herring Bank is seeking a Technical Product Implementation Manager to lead customer implementations across our growing portfolio of banking, payments, ATM, POS, and Campus Solutions products. This position will own implementations from planning through production launch and work across both the business and technical sides of the implementation process.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who is comfortable working directly with customers, developers, infrastructure teams, banking operations, and payment specialists. This is not a traditional project management role—we are looking for someone with the technical curiosity and hands-on approach needed to understand complex systems, troubleshoot issues, and successfully drive products into production.

What You'll Do

  • Lead customer implementations from kickoff through production go-live.
  • Develop and manage implementation plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, testing, and customer deliverables.
  • Coordinate across Product, Development, DevOps, Banking Operations, Payments, Compliance, and customer teams.
  • Lead implementations for major customers and first deployments of new products.
  • Work directly with technical teams to identify and resolve implementation challenges.
  • Troubleshoot APIs, integrations, authentication, data flows, file transfers, webhooks, payment transactions, and other technical issues.
  • Perform functional QA and validate products across customer, banking, and payment workflows.
  • Support the implementation and deployment of ATM, POS, card, payment processing, and embedded banking products.
  • Identify product gaps and partner with Product and Development to improve the platform.
  • Develop repeatable implementation processes, documentation, testing procedures, and customer onboarding practices.
  • Support larger customers following launch with expansion, optimization, and adoption of additional products.
  • Utilize modern AI tools to research, analyze, troubleshoot, automate repetitive work, and improve overall productivity.
What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering complex customer implementations, technology projects, products, or operational initiatives.
  • Strong ownership and the ability to drive projects across multiple teams.
  • Ability to understand technical systems and communicate effectively with software developers and infrastructure teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with functional testing or QA of software and integrations.
  • Strong customer communication and implementation management skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex technical and business environments.
  • Experience using modern AI tools to improve productivity and problem solving.
  • Experience with banking, fintech, payments, card processing, SaaS implementations, POS systems, ATMs, or financial technology is preferred but not required.
  • A college degree is not required.
Location & Travel

Amarillo, Texas is preferred. Candidates who live within reasonable driving distance of Amarillo or have convenient direct air access to Amarillo may also be considered.

Travel of up to 25% may be required for customer implementations, launches, and other business needs.

Growth Opportunity

This position offers significant opportunity for growth as Herring Bank expands its payment and embedded banking products. A successful candidate may take on broader implementation leadership responsibilities and potentially build and lead an implementation team as the business grows.
